I Won't Even Bother Explaining

I seriously am not going to bother explaining in too much depth but here goes. I have decided the incorporated name of this portion of my blog is Friday Fill-Ins but my d.b.a. name will be Whenever The Hell I Can Get Around To Doing It.
Last weekend was a great way to recharge with the family and it was so nice to see my boys having a fabulous time. I did a couple of things over the weekend that were not my usual 'chose habituelle', if you will.
First of all, I usual don't ride all the water slides for a couple of reasons. One: I always wear a two piece which is usually string bikini and as we all know....they don't fare well on water slides :). Two: I normally want to just lounge in the sun, read a good book and take the occasional picture of my kids. Well, this time I rode 'em and I am so pissed that I haven't been a participant in the water slide activity until now. What a loser!
Second...we all went on a helicopter ride. This is definitely off my usual radar, so to speak. I have been in an airplane two dozen times but prefer to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground. Well, to hell with all of that and we all loaded up and took a tour of the mountains! The kids had an absolute blast and so did this mom! The pics are on Facebook so if you are a follower of my blog and want to see them, just friend me on Facebook with a reference of who you are. Otherwise, I wont accept.
Lastly, I did my usual shopping extravaganza!. It just so happened I had a 30% off entire purchase coupon for Gap and Banana Republic which could be used over and over again. Well, I ran it through it's paces and used it over and over and over and over again! I am now the proud owner of a kick ass summer wardrobe.
Happy Happy weekend to you all......

1. Why does it seem to not turn out quite right when I am really really really hoping/needing/wanting it to?

2. I hate when people think one type of wrong is equal to another. Wrongs are wrongs so quit comparing.

3. My favorite breakfast includes anything non-sugary. I like the old fashioned eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, fried butterfly chops, sawmill gravy and bacon. Getting a little hungry right now!

4. The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen was the last book I read. I actually have two books signed by her. (I used to be a real fan of standing in line to get books signed.

5. I am SO glad I have crossed into new territory in regards to many aspects of my life. I can cross a few things off my bucket list and feel liberated at the same time!

6. If I could only type in this blog what would make me feel better right now.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sending Michael off to his school dance and chilling with my Marshall, tomorrow my plans include enough laundry to clothe all of China and getting caught up on my music downloads, and Sunday, I want to take some tween boys to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

This Truly Is The Story Of My Life

Late again for fill ins but, as the title implies, that is truly the story of my life therefore I have decided to just embrace it! We finally made it to our weekend vacation destination around 11 eastern yesterday. Luckily the drive is less than two hours so the "are we there yet" question didn't get asked too many times. The outdoor water park is open too (well, one of them) so the boys were able to enjoy some outdoor fun yesterday and feel a little warm sun on their skin. Michael got a teensy little sunburn but it will go in by the end of the day today, I am sure. The only negative I can find is I (we) have had to endure two spring forwards in regards to time in less than a week. That is just not right!! My circadian rhythm is totally awry!!
Other than that, nothing terribly exciting to talk about. Soccer starts for both of the boys next week so that should keep things interesting and my life hopping. No complaints, everything could be a lot worse.

1. I love to go on vacation because that little get away can be totally recharging.

2. It's not the quantity of how many times you can do it, it’s the quality!

3. The last thing I had to eat was fudge cookie and a Diet Coke.

4. Always having something going on around me is no longer essential.

5. Please take a moment to imbibe whatever is happening at that moment and don't even bother questioning it... especially if it is something fantastic.

6. Charming wiles have brought you this far.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging at a water park of course, tomorrow my plans include water park and water slide fun, putt putt and maybe a helicopter ride and Sunday, I want to play play play and have a safe ride home!

Late Again And Thanks For Good Friends

I am not certain how many of my friends frequent this blog but I receive about three dozen hits a week from people in Cookeville. I am thinking it is safe to assume that many of those are acquaintances and/or friends. You always know exactly who your friends are in times of crisis. Not that I am necessarily in a crisis but they are the ones who remain in the passenger seat regardless of how many potholes are in the road.
I only preface with that because I have hit a few potholes over the past couple of weeks and my friends have remained steadfast and true. They intently listen even if they are secretly hoping I would wrap it up, they will give you heartfelt advice and not get their feelings hurt if you don't accept it, and I have another friend that offered to look into and fix my little plumbing problem/incident from 2 weeks ago. These are the types of people I want to surround me and have in my life. So, If you are that kind of friend to someone, I can assure you it means a lot to them even if they never actually say it.

And...here we go!

1. Oh gross! I thought it was mashed potatoes and it turned out to be turnip mush....

2. Skydiving, well THAT's off my bucket list!

3. No, I don't always understand but will try to keep myself open in order to see things from a different point of view....but I don't have to like it!!!! :)

4. I want to start experiencing life with all my heart and soul.

5. And then.....Whelp, see you later.

6. I can't forget how sometimes I even surprise myself with things I am willing to do.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to taking the kids to Chili's, tomorrow my plans include hanging out with mom and going for a little run and Sunday, I want to hopefully run again if the weather ho
lds up and just chill!

Omg, Not Late And A Little Early :)

Well, another week has come to a close without much excitement. I guess that is a good thing but a little excitement never hurt anyone. My work week was actually normal instead of chaotic so I am not near as exhausted as I usually am (physically and mentally) this time of the week.
I am, however, counting down the days to Spring Break. I need a break, regardless of how short it is. We are going to head to Wilderness at the Smokies for weekend...our usual Spring Break thing. The kids love it, I love watching them love it sooooo win win! :)
The kids are doing great, by the way. I am registering Marshall for kindergarten in a few weeks and he couldn't be more excited. He cannot wait to go to big kid's school. Michael received a 105 on his science project he has been working on over the past couple of months. I am very proud of him. As of the last grade update I saw yesterday, he is on track to have the best report card this year. His lowest grade is a 92 and the rest are 96 and above....I am beaming!!
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

1.Bring your favorite movie and we'll veg on the couch for hours!

2. Unfortunately, insecure feelings are included in my mindset.

3. I am hoping all of this is exactly what I think it is.

4. Well, you see, it all started with a three hour tour!

5. I need things to start changing and looking up, soon!

6. But what if, I could what if myself to death and still not get any answers or not get the answers I was hoping for.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to running a few miles if the rain holds off then pizza and a movie at home with the kiddos, tomorrow my plans include going to the movies with friends and the kids to see Rango, and Sunday, I want to just have a great mental day!
