Friday On Saturday Evening!

Well, the usual story of my being late holds true. Look at the time, I haven't been this late in a while. Have had quite a bit going on lately. Some information I will indulge and some information I shall keep to myself.
Another incredibly long work week as finally come to a close. Working a full time job and an additional contract job wears me out. Seriously, when Friday comes...I just want to veg but then there are all the things to do around the house. Arrrgghh, it shall never end! In addition to my 2 jobs, I took Marshall for his first dental check up. He received a clean bill of health but left the office still afraid of Mr. Thirsty. You know, I must admit, I still have an uncomfortable relationship with that apparatus too! I also took Michael to an orthodontic follow up. Looks like he will be the proud recipient of his second round of braces on March 31st. He is not terrible excited but is looking forward to getting it all over with. Who can blame him?
The last news bit of my life occurred last night. Apparently, when the boys were in my jacuzzi tub, all the jumping type of activity Marshall likes to perform dislodged the drain area. Soooo, when I drained the tub on the 3rd floor, it preceded to not follow the appropriate pipe, came through the ceiling on the second floor and all over the wood floor. Talk about a mess. Now, my ceiling is completely ruined and the floors could use a refinishing. Kill me now....really!!!! Alright, I am tired of pissing and moaning, believe it or not, so off we go with the tardy fill ins.

1. Ooooh, I cannot wait to see how this ends. Wait, maybe I can if it is going to end badly.

2. I want my house back to normal so bad, I can't stand it!

3. How the heck did I end up with so many issues in my life. I swear I don't enjoy it.

4. Anywhere away from the chaos of every day life is one of my favorite places to visit.

5. I'm not a high maintenance girl, I'm not!

6. If it has butter and or sugar in it, it has to be good.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to taking a Benedryl and getting a much needed good night of sleep, tomorrow my plans include conquering this incredible load of laundry that has seriously taken over my laundry room and Sunday, I want to run a bit, possibly take Michael skating and trying my damnedest to relax (although I seriously have no concept of what that word means, teach me)!

It's Here....It's Finally Here

OK.....I had the best intentions yesterday morning to have my fill ins finished before ten a.m. but as you can plainly see, I hoo. :o
I over extended myself this past week and have no one to blame but myself....damn...there has to be someone else to blame except me. Let's see....nope...just me! Working a full time job and doing contract work on the side takes up a big chunk of my week but the money is so hard to turn down. I so want to be out of debt and that is good incentive to work harder. I cant keep up the pace indefinitely but will try to do so until the summer, at least.
Let's see, a kiddo update....Marshall continues to be my spirited, full of himself child. Luckily, we have made it almost completely through the winter with nary a sickness....blessing blessing blessing. He loves to color, paint and write his name over and over again. Oh, if only all of life could be that simple. Michael is doing great, as usual. He is playing basketball this winter to incorporate some sort of activity into his week. He has all A's and one B so far on the report card coming up next and I am hoping this momentum can continue. He did, however, get after school detention for getting his cell phone out of his pocket during the school day. He was actually on the playground so he thought it was ok. Well, guess's not ok! They take your phone and detention for three days. Poor thing...he told me afterwards the kids in detention kept getting into trouble and I was glad to tell him that is a place he doesn't 'fit in', which is a good thing. Out of his element for sure.
I hope everyone has a great and productive/relaxing weekend.

1. New experiences and possibilities are definitely in my future yet it is totally up to me as to what that entails.

2. Taking an unexpected turn on a daily walk (or drive) can allow you to see unexpected pleasure of nature.

3. I'm looking forward to my life settling down and getting back to some type of normalcy.

4. If you would have told me this would be my life ten years ago, I would never have imagined.

5. Try to find a little humor in everything. I promise its there.

6. Being wicked loyal, a good listener, able to forgive, able laugh at myself and make others laugh even if it is at me is what's extraordinary about me.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just hanging out...that sounds really good, tomorrow my plans include going through the kid's closets and going shopping for their new season of clothes and Sunday, I want to once again try to get things done around the house and run a few miles!

Well, we all know what day it is and I welcome it with open arms. Hopefully, I only have a half day of work, followed by a little pampering with my beautician, then it is off to Murfreesboro with the kiddos to visit the land of Chuck E. Cheese. That bastard mouse!!
My nephew's sixth birthday is tomorrow and they live in Murfreesboro so we always go a day early to visit the Chuckster and spend the night. The kids love a night in a hotel and being able to swim. I am also going to make a little visit to Target and take Michael to Fleet Feet so he can be fitted for a good pair of running shoes. Doesn't this all sound terribly exciting. I know, I is incredibly hard not to envy a lifestyle such as mine.
On a positive note, I am looking forward to seeing my brothers and sisters in law tomorrow at the party. I haven't seen any of them in what seems like forever and am needing a good catch up session and family time. See folks, this is yet another prime reason to move back closer to my hometown. I feel so far away from everybody that is important to me. :(
I am also looking forward to the warm weekend. I was able to run in my new shoes last Sunday OUTSIDE (i hate treadmills) and am looking forward to doing it again. Thanks Fleet Feet for selling me a fabulous pair of running shoes. I hope everyone has a fabulous and fulfilling Valentine's weekend.

1. Family is very important to me even if that family is by marriage and not blood.

2. Life obviously has it's ups and downs but what is the most important is how you handle the chaos.

3. Trust is a trait I believe all my closest friends possess.

4. Sometimes you just have to jump and hope for the best.

5. Parents are almost always a positive influence, you just have to listen to what they are trying to say.

6. I look back at times and cannot believe what was said.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to see the above paragraph, tomorrow my plans include see the above paragraph and Sunday, I want to straighten up some around the house. It is getting out of control!!

Friday On Saturday

Another roller coaster of a week is in my past as I brace for yet another one in two days. Forty to fifty hour work weeks get real old when you cant just come home, prop your feet up and veg for the rest of the night. AHHH, the joys of Momdom where life never stops, not even for one second.
Not that I would technically want it to stop but I do think a nanny would be nice. A fun one but not too much fun...might make me look bad. :)
Nothing much exciting happened this weekend. I was able to do quite a bit of contract work which will yield me a decent extra paycheck...debt free I come!!
I did, however, accidentally stumble upon an interesting place in the upper northern portion of Putnam County. I really cannot quite describe it except for surreal. It is in a mostly non-populated area of the city and looks as if it was hit by a tsunami. The uprooted trees of massive proportion littered alongside the bank of a seemingly innocent creek, debris and other various litter was scattered everywhere from ground to 30 feet up (where trees were still standing), and lastly, parts of old shack like houses demolished when after being swept off their foundations and forced to sift through remnants of rotting tree trunks. It was the weirdest feeling to be there. So weird, I actually put the truck in park and got out. My stupid GPS was what led me here, you know, to take me on a short cut. Normally, I have it out with my little global friend when he does this to me but this time I thanked him. I did, however, end up turning around in a very narrow area where the width of the gravel road kept getting smaller and smaller. Hoping the area I was backing into wasn't soft creek pebbles but some kind of substantial gravel.
Anywho, I know this is probably weird to read but I really don't know how to describe it. I am going back tomorrow to show my boys and take some picture. I am sure the pics won't even come close to doing it justice but I will make an attempt and post them later.

1. We are on this earth because someone has an interesting sense of humor and wanted to see what would happen if a bunch of different types of peeps where thrown into a mix and left to their own devices.

2. Something I would never like to experience is being lost in the wilderness or desert for days and having to forage for food and water. I would probably die in an hour!!!

3. One of the hardest things for me to learn is to sit back and let the world and life happen.

4. I can let life affect me so that it is hard to stay connected.

5. I remember the way that made me feel and hope to never forget it.

6. My children are one of the best parts of my life. (even thought I need a break sometimes)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to eating out and spending time with my mom, tomorrow my plans include lounging, lounging and basketball and Sunday, I want to revisit that strange place and take some awesome pictures.
