It's Friday........Right?
This week had been very hectic at work. Trying to cram in 5 days of work into 3 is quite the task. The good part is because of the long work days, I only have to use one vacation day instead of two. So there.
Now for an update on the kiddos.....Michael was presented with the 4th Grade Math Award for the past 9 week session. We are so proud of him. I told him I didn't know what it was like to sit in a gymnasium full of my peers and have my name called out.
Marshall and Michael geared up for soccer practice last night. Marshall was so excited and listened to his coach surprisingly well. This will be an interesting season. We did figure out that our eldest child's schedule is getting full...Monday: guitar, Tuesday: Run club in the a.m. and soccer in the p.m., Wednesday: Church, Thursday: Run club in the a.m., Friday: off, Saturday: soccer games, and Sunday: church. We shall see how it all plays out.

2. Go to your room and sit until you hear the timer and shut the door quietly, please.
3. Up is where I try to keep my spirits most of time.
4. An IKEA store is where you'll find me.
5. Ooh! What is that on sale for 75% off?
6. Taking a girl's trip is a good idea.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending time with my girlfriends, tomorrow my plans include fine dining and shopping and Sunday, I want to get home safely and celebrate Palm Sunday.

ZZZzzzzzz
It made me appreciate even more how beautiful my children are inside and out, to have the comfort of knowing how healthy they are and have never had to suffer. I watched them separately for about 5-6 minutes a piece. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I suddenly realized no matter what is currently going on in my life that is bringing me sadness it is of no importance when compared to the health of my little guys. I am blessed beyond any riches.
I am so glad I took the time......

OMG It's Here
1. Today I will be basking in the sun and all it's glory during my half day off.
2. You are you serious and I say why not?
3. What do you think of higher and higher taxes to pay for all this government spending? I personally am thrilled!
4. At Starbucks it's free pastry day until 10:30 a.m.
5. People say what we're all seeking is virtually unattainable.
6. The image I cherish most is anytime my kids are happy and being nice to each other.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I am looking forward to spending some time with my mom and eating pizza, tomorrow my plans include some pre-Atlanta shopping, and Sunday I want to wish the rain away.

What Kind Of Mommy Are You
The delusional answer: "I am the best Mommy in the World"
The wanna be answer: "I am a very patient Mommy"
The turn it around answer: "You know what kind of Mommy I am you big silly"
The politician answer: "What exactly to you mean by kind of Mommy?"
The disbelief answer/question : "Are you kidding me, Clark?"
After considering all my answering options, I decided to ask him what kind of Mommy I was...holding my breath at the same time (this is technically impossible but I needed it for effect!) Ever so sweet he replied.....
Marshall: "You're a nice Mommy"
Me: "Are you sure you are talking about me?"
Marshall: "Yes"
Me: "I thought I was a mean Mommy?"
Marshall: "Nope, you're a nice Mommy"
I think he was just buttering me up because he likes to help cook and he figured if he played nice he may get another opportunity. BUT Maybe, just maybe that was his ever so loving side that pokes it's little head out of the shell once in a blue moon. Compare the loving side appearances to the amount of times you have personally witnessed the aurora borealis! Well, that may be a small stretch but you get the point.
On a side note, that cute little guy has an MD appointment to look at his right ear again. If it has not cleared up after this last round (4th to be exact) of antibiotics he will have to undergo surgery...AGAIN. I don't want to anesthetize him again but it is either that or permanent hearing loss. I figure kids don't hear well anyway....why give them even more of a reason to not do what you ask them. Pray for my guy.....

Finally Friday
Wednesday I had a chemical peel on my face and let me tell you.....I am one scary person this morning. Let the peeling begin! Thankfully all the patients I have today except one have met me before so they shouldn't freak out too much. I hope everybody has an accomplished and wonderful weekend.
1. I am so looking forward to my face returning back to normal!
2. I promise I will go running later.
3. When you get lemons, trade them in for limes and ask for some salt and tequila.
4. My family is a big part of my life I just don't appreciate them all the time like I should.
5. If you need anything I am your girl.
6. I am growing tiresome of work and I need a trip.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to lounging, tomorrow my plans include going out to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday and Sunday, I want to go to a bowling party in Smyrna for my two nieces!

Anticipation
I also made two other little appetizer things...
1. Bacon Roll Ups (not as horrible on the arteries as it sounds): Roll out 1/2 of crescent rolls into a sheet, spread cream cheese on it, sprinkle with garlic powder and cover with real bacon bits...roll it up like a jelly roll, slice and cook.....
2. Mozzarella Poppers: Can of biscuits...separate each one, slightly flatten one biscuit, place a cube of mozzarella inside, close it up, dip in melted better then roll it in a mixture of freshly shredded parmesan, basil and pecans, place in muffin pan and bake based on biscuit directions.
Now that I have said all that....the anticipation part. I had to open up 2 rolls of croissants and 4 rolls of biscuits.....I never realized that I cringe as I am unwrapping them because I never know if it is going to pop open when you take off the label or it you will actually have to press the "end of a spoon on the seam" to facilitate said pop. That freaks me out a little!
In hindsight or forefront or flankside.....maybe I shouldn't be blogging right now. I am running on less than 2 hours sleep over the last 36 hours....delirium is setting in...so is that Benedryl I took about 30 minutes ago. Please pray for my sanity (seriously), I am working my booty off and it is catching up me me.....in a bad way!

Early Weekend Update
I was also able to run a few miles yesterday but I got those damn side pains which drive me crazy. I sure would like to know why sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. Hopefully the 3 I run today will be without side pain and minimal exhaust fumes from passing motorists.
Lastly I wanted to share a clip from the website 'Funny or Die'. If you have never watched anything on this site you are truly missing out. Will Ferrell is the brain child behind it if that gives you any insight of the content. The newest clip on the site is Obama getting visited in the night by the last 5 presidents....hilariously funny and so good to see all the SNL characters (even Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd) playing their old bits. This 5 minute bit was directed by Ron Howard believe it or not. Please indulge me and watch it. It has three different parts but the first of the three is the main one. http://http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/dc60287a2a/president-s-reunion-behind-the-scenes?rel=player
I hope everyone gets a good laugh, had a wonderful weekend and is ready for yet ANOTHER work week.

Friday Filler Upper
On a side note, we are going to be childless for tonight thanks to my mom and dad. I cannot wait to have a dinner out unfettered.
1. Why are you making peanut butter and banana sandwiches?
2. I want you to take some time off and visit with me.
3. When I am able to get my own time, then it will be on my terms.
4. Let's go on our girl trip to Atlanta and see what happens.
5. I could use a vacation with warm sun, sandy beaches and salty oceans.
6. Getting a spray tan and then donning some shorts.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a peaceful meal sans children, tomorrow my plans include actually sleeping in past 6, and Sunday, I want to do nothing.

Under The Weather
Not really sick sick.
Just sick.
I have never experienced 'Cabin Fever' in my entire life and really this is about the sickest I have ever been. (Relatively Speaking)
Reflecting back on my entire life, I cannot recall a winter like this without reprieve or at least one that has affected me so. Does that make sense? My mom has called something like this 'the punies'. That is my affliction, my ailment....I have the punies! (pronounced 'pew-nees' phonetically). I have been unable to shake it. The sun and the warmth it delivers is my Prozac and a girl has to have her Prozac!
I have pretty much sulked around all day today and when I received the 'Weather Alert' from the Weather Channel on my phone regarding the Winter Weather Advisory Putnam County was under for tonight and tomorrow....well that was the huge stemmed cherry on top of my sundae.
This is not an attitude I came home with as Mike has labeled it. I just crave sun and the warmth on my skin it offers. I get zero understanding in regards to this from him or most people for that matter which I offer NO apology for. I need it, I crave it and if it gives me a bad attitude for a few days then so be it!!!
The good news is we are expecting a warm up this Friday. According to the forecast, I will be able to run four days in a row! This is fabulous and I cannot express to anyone how excited I am to get my 'fix'............I will apologize for the ranting and violin playing for my pity party but I deserve that time too. One cannot possibly be happy all the time and if they are they are faking it!!!!
